Shielding Assistance

If a Permit has been approved that may involve radiation exposure-related hazards, then radiation shielding may be required. It is the responsibility of the Permit Holder/PI to ensure appropriate shielding is acquired and used in order to reduce radiation exposures.

Radiation Safety sometimes acquires shielding materials - often from laboratory decommissioning efforts. Please contact Radiation Safety at 801-581-6590 to see if we have any shielding that may be useful for your permit.
